The Process
Ideally six months before your application submission — the end of May for medical school and September for residency. We have options for people at all stages, but the earlier you start, the more strategic we can be. If you’re reapplying or already in cycle, we can still help.
We are physician-founded and physician-led. Advising is done by Dr. Meg Flynn — a practicing orthopedic surgeon who has served on admissions committees at Georgetown (medical school) and Cleveland Clinic (residency). Most consulting companies are large, impersonal operations. We provide direct, 1-on-1 mentorship from someone who reviews applications the way an actual committee member would.
97% of students Dr. Flynn has worked with have been accepted to medical school. The national average is approximately 41%.
No. We work with students at all stages. If you haven’t taken the MCAT yet, we can help with application timing and strategy. If you have a score, we’ll factor it into your school list and positioning.
Absolutely. Reapplicants are one of the populations we’re best positioned to help. Dr. Flynn personally re-applied for residency after not matching the first time and has helped many students through similar situations. We do honest diagnostic work to identify what didn’t connect last cycle and rebuild a stronger application.
Yes. TMDSAS (Texas) and MD/PhD support are available as add-ons to any medical school package, or as standalone à la carte services. Pricing and timing are discussed during your free consultation.
Common Hesitations
Consider the alternative costs. Reapplying costs $5,000–$10,000+ per cycle in MCAT retakes, application fees, and lost income. The average med school graduate carries roughly $200,000 in debt. Investing in expert guidance to get in the first time saves you time, money, and stress — not to mention an extra year of physician earnings on the back end of training.
AI produces generic output, and admissions committees are reading thousands of AI-sounding essays now. They spot it. What AI cannot do is understand your specific experiences, find the unique angles in your story, and present them in a way that connects with a human reader on an admissions committee. That requires a human advisor who has been on those committees.
Most university pre-med advisors manage 200+ students. They cannot give you the personalized, deep-dive attention a dedicated consultant provides. Most also have not served on medical school admissions committees and lack the insider perspective on what those committees actually look for. Friends mean well, but they aren’t reading admissions files. We are.
Application Strategy
Extremely. Schools want to know why you specifically want to train at their institution. Having a genuine connection to each school on your list matters. “I just want to get into any medical school” is a red flag for committees. We help you build a strategic school list with genuine “why this school” narratives.
You’re right that most applications look similar. The process is algorithmic. Every student needs clinical experience, volunteering, leadership, research, teaching, and shadowing. Standing out happens almost entirely in the writing — in the way you describe your specific anecdotes. We help you find and articulate those unique stories.
Saying they “just want to get into medical school.” Schools already know you want to be a doctor. They want to know why you want to be a doctor who trains at their institution. Having a clear, authentic connection to each school is incredibly important.
